We are having a combined activity on Wednesday so please arrive at the church at 7pm.
September 3rd is Labor Day. We will be delivering flags that morning and picking them up in the evening. Please come and do your part.
It is also time for people to renew their flag subscription. You will be hearing more about this in the upcoming weeks.
We are also in need of blog permission slip forms. If your parent has not completed one we cannot post any pictures on the blog so please help us get this taken care of.

Camping and Court of Honor
This is looking like it will be another busy week for our scouts. On Friday we will be going camping, which means that on Wednesday we will be going over camp preparation. The key to this one is simple: pack light--and bring plenty of water because we're hiking in and hiking out.
On Sunday we are having a Court of Honor. We all need to be there on time and in uniform. The awards list for this one is going to be huge so bring your parents and come and receive the fruits of your labors.
One last tid bit. We like to post pictures of what our troop is doing, however we cannot do this without parental permission forms being turned in. If you haven't turned yours in please check in with me.

Eagle Scout Court of Honor
This Saturday there will be an Eagle Scout Court of Honor at the church that starts at 7pm. We are being asked to arrive at around 6pm to practice and then participate in the flag ceremony. This will be discussed at scouts on Wednesday. See you all then.

Special Scouts Meeting
First off, we will be meeting as normal on Wednesday at 6:45pm at the church for our weekly scout meeting.
The purpose of this post is to let you know that we will be having an extra scout meeting this week on Thursday at 4:00pm at Bro. Vincent's home. Here is the list of those who need to come to this meeting: Cedric, Dylan, Hayden, Jacob T., Jordan, Michael V., and Zach F.. Kye, I haven't seen your scout records yet but I'm assuming that you need to be there as well. During this meeting we will be passing off a few requirements for first and second class. If your name is on this list it is because you stand in need of at least one of these requirements, if not all three. For some of you this will mean the difference between rank advancement at this court of honor and no rank advancement until the next court of honor.
I also wanted to put out yet another reminder for those of you who have yet to do some of the requirements that need to be done on your own. First of all, for those of you who haven't passed off second class requirement 10 (that's the earn and save money one), please earn and save money. If you have questions about it please let one of your leaders know. This requirement often holds people back, please don't let it do this to you. The second requirement that tends to hold people up is first class requirement 10. In order to accomplish this you need to tell a young man who is old enough to join about our troop, some of its activities, and invite them to come and join. Again, if you have any questions about it please let one of your leaders know.
It is quite possible that as many as 10 of you can have rank advancements at this upcoming court of honor. 10! That's awesome! And some of you may be eligible for more than one rank advancement. We're on pace for an amazing court of honor. Push yourself this week and see how much you can accomplish.

Upcoming Court of Honor
We have an upcoming court of honor (26th of this month at 7pm). Now would be a good time to take a look at where you are at to determine what you need to do to get your next rank advancement. I will be seeking out those who come to mutual tonight to discuss this. If you have questions about advancement please let me know asap.
