A. If you're thinking "why are we seeing information about scout camp in 2013 when we just finished scout camp for 2012?" then let me explain. It takes a lot of planning to put together a successful camp. While we don't yet know for certain where we are going next year, there are some things that we do know.
A. This is where you will find the time and date of our anual scout camp preparation meeting. whether or not your son is planning to attend scout camp, you should come to this meeting. As long as everyone arrives on time you can plan on spending about 30 minutes with us. Come prepared with any questions that you may have. Whether or not those questions relate to scout camp is irrelevent. If you have questions, it is likely that other parents share those same questions.
B. This is where you will find the link that will provide you with information regarding merit badges that are offered by the camp that we are planning to attend. It is highly recommended that you review this information with your son before we leave for camp so that he can come prepared with a plan that will help him to be successful.
C. Click here for the health form that is required for summer camp. Parts A, B, and C need to be completed for your son to be able to go to camp. Part C must be filled out by a certified and licensed health care provider. We need this form completed or your son will not be able to attend camp per BSA rules and regulations.
D. Click here for the immunization exemption form if you need it for your son.
E. We know that it's a year away, but scout camp will be here before you know it so be prepared!
The purpose of this blog is to provide the young men of Boy Scout Troop 819, and their parents or guardians, with a simple way of obtaining information relating to the comings and goings of our troop.
"Scouting brings out the best in each of us. Live what you've learned and will continue to learn. Help others to hike the trails, to keep steadfast in the paths of truth, of honor, of duty, that all of you can soar together on eagles' wings. You are part of a mighty army of youth, even a royal army, and every organization, to be successful, has an honored tradition to uphold. May you uphold Scouting's tradition, for it can be as a lighthouse beacon in the world of stormy seas, it can be a motivation to prepare for your role in life, it can be a yardstick against which you measure your accomplishments." ~President Thomas S. Monson--2010
I am wondering what the campsite number and session number is to write to my son at camp raymond. Any ideas? Thanks!
